Martin Alexander “Alec” Kempe
President and CEO
Mr. Kempe founded Martinair in 1986 with just one aircraft ñ growing it to the well diversified fleet of 15 management and charter aircraft it is today. His dedication to safety first has earned Martinair the rare Platinum rating from ARG/US, the recognized industry leader in aviation information collection, analysis, and dissemination. With over 26 years in the business aviation world, Mr. Kempe holds 5 jet type ratings with well over 14,000 hours in the cockpit. He is a 1975 graduate of Washington & Lee University and, in addition to his commitments as President and owner of Martinair, Mr. Kempe continues to fly regularly himself. It is this personal involvement with the company’s management and charter customers that makes Martinair a sterling standout in the aviation community.
